Various Calenberg bearings were used on this project. Ciparall Sliding Bearings reduced restraint forces at the supports by allowing the building components to slide with extremely low coefficients of friction, while accommodating rotations and ensuring that loads were applied centrally.

Calenberg Ingenieure designs, manufactures and markets elastomeric sliding bearings, and statically or dynamically loaded structural bearings (elastomeric bearings) for buildings and structures, sub-ballast mats and trackbed mats for track construction as well as other elastomer-based products for noise insulation and environmental protection.

Calenberg Compact Core Bearings were used to prevent cold bridging in the facade area. Their high stiffness and shape stability allow these bearings to transfer large loads with very little deformation. They can also act as a thermal break (coefficient of thermal conductivity λ = 0.2 [W/m*K]).
