2012 Taipei TTY Airport Access reference project

The Bureau of High Speed Rail MOTC (BOHSR) commissioned the construction of a new high-speed rail link running from the capital Taipei to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport and beyond to Zhongli.

Calenberg Ingenieure designs, manufactures and markets elastomeric sliding bearings, and statically or dynamically loaded structural bearings (elastomeric bearings) for buildings and structures, sub-ballast mats and trackbed mats for track construction as well as other elastomer-based products for noise insulation and environmental protection.

Elevated in many sections, the route starts in Taipei and passes through Sanchong, Xinzhuang, Taishan, Gui Shan, Linkou and Luzhu. After passing under the airport, it continues from the north east to the south east via Dayuan, Chin-Pu and Taoyuan HSR Station to the terminus station in Zhongli. The line stretches over 51.2 km with numerous stations and two depots.

Concrete supporting concrete slabs were elastically bedded on 3,190 m² of USM 2025 track mats and 1,360 m² of USM 1000 W track mats in a strip arrangement. This structure permanently protects people living close to the line from vibrations produced by passing trains and the secondary air-borne sound emitted from the elevated railway tracks. The mats were delivered between 2010 and 2012.
