2015 Restoration of the grandstand at the Hoppegarten racecourse

Spread over 430 hectares, this long-established horse racing venue was founded in Hoppegarten, east of Berlin, in 1868. The racecourse has recently undergone gradual restoration, starting in 2008.

The grandstand was restored in 2015 with Civalit-strip sliding bearing components and Ciparall single-pad sliding bearings 20 mm thick installed as part of renovations. The first race day with the fully restored grandstand took place on 6 August 2015.

Calenberg Ingenieure designs, manufactures and markets elastomeric sliding bearings, and statically or dynamically loaded structural bearings (elastomeric bearings) for buildings and structures, sub-ballast mats and trackbed mats for track construction as well as other elastomer-based products for noise insulation and environmental protection.
